June 22-24, 2007: Fisher Park High
School Reunion
It's really happening - plan
to be in Ottawa at the place where it all started - we are having
a reunion! All Fisher Park alumni are invited to attend, it will be
a great celebration and a chance to meet up with good friends, relive
fond memories, see those teachers you remember, and wander the halls
of our school.
There are now regular meetings taking place (more
details here). Please attend if you are able, and tell others
that you know who might like to attend. Planning is well underway
- and we could use your help!
This reunion is being run entirely by volunteers. We need your assistance!
If you would be willing to help with - or if you know people that
could assist - in any of the activities, please contact us.
Activities and Schedule: There will be many ongoing activities
throughout the weekend for you to take part in, but of course the
primary goal is to get Fisherites together, so there is lots of time
just to mingle, talk, and have a great time.

- Registration: Register
now! Add your name to our database, which we will provide
to grads at the end of the event (you can opt out if you like).
We will have FiPaHi booklets so you can get the contact info of
that guy you lost track of after Grade XIII...
- Food and Beer Garden: Ongoing throughout both days, this
closed tented area will have beer, wine, pop, water, coffee, and
a variety of foods available for sale to make certain you can
stay onsite and socialize with old friends. Would have been nice
to have beer in the caf back in the day!
- Open Mic Stage: In the main gym, we will have a stage
and a PA system set up, former Fisher Park bands (or any group
of grads that play together) will be able to get up there and
play the music of your day. Refreshments and a dance-like atmosphere
- why not dance?
- Decade Rooms: One for each decade the school was open,
classrooms will be open containing memorabilia, yearbooks, "Where
are they now?" bios (you will be able to add your own...bring
pics and business cards...), and music playing from that era.
- Wander the school: Both gyms, several classrooms and
the auditorium will be open for you to walk through and enjoy.
Sit in the "aud" with friends and chat about the great
assemblies. Play cards in the cafeteria; remember the time you...hmm
maybe we won't print that here...
- Friday Evening Pub Night: Registration, and a pub night featuring the Sultans of String, who include Chris McKhool - a Fisher Park grad!
- Saturday Evening DJ dance: An all-decades dance with
a DJ in the main gym. Refreshments (bar) and finger food will
be available. Relive your prom, or make this dance the prom you
never enjoyed - either way, come on out and have a good time.
Whether you want to do the Twist, or hit the floor with your favourite
Break Dance, this will be a night to remember.
- The Fisher Years DVD: A full DVD containing scanned copies
of all 38 FiPaHi yearbooks, along with other memorabilia from
the event. For sale at the event to help cover the costs of the
Reunion.
- Fisher Forever Memorabilia: Pens, mugs and booklets to
capture the Fisher Forever logo will also be for sale for a nominal
fee.
