Park High School, Ottawa - 1949 - 1987
October 2008: Ian Buchanan, who organized & setup the music,
light and sound at the reunion, passed away this year at the young
age of 56, from cancer. His wishes were that
there be no wake or funeral. However, many of his friends agreed with
the idea of remembering him in a way that he would have supported.
Since his teenage years and early 20's were spent as a sound and light
technician with several area bands, dating back to the 60's and 70's,
we felt that an evening of music would be appropriate. To that end,
two bands with members that go back with Ian to those early days,
have generously donated their time and effort for this event. The
poster contains all the details. Click
on the poster to the right or here to see a PDF. Many of you have
generously donated items for a raffle, however if any of you wish
to add an item, please bring it the evening of the event or contact
me for pick-up. All proceeds from this event will go to an education
fund for Ian & Sophie's three boys. Hopefully, you'll be able to join
us Nov. 30th. for an evening of fine music, while at the same time,
supporting a worthwhile cause.

Yes!
Our plan is to keep all parts of the website up and running,
including the forums and guestbooks, for some time to come. |

received a CD at registration and it's blank / doesn't work.
Can I get a replacement? |
|
In
fact, the "CD" provided is a DVD-ROM. That is, a DVD
that you use in the DVD drive on a PC or MAC. We used the DVD
format because the 38 FiPaHi yearbooks would not fit on one
CDROM. If you don't have a DVD or access to one, we can send
you TWO CD's with the yearbooks on them. We'll need your address
and we'd appreciate a SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope)
to send it back to you. |

| Who
were all the organizers? We really want to send them all a note.

We
will be posting a list of the organizers (along with pics and
their role in the event) so you can identify us and contact
us. |

We
are going to put all the contact information into a database
and our plan is to publish it. Again, we need some time to do
this as we are all volunteers and doing this in our spare time.

is the next reunion? |

We
haven't even finished this one! We have certainly not even conceived
of a next one at this point. |
